I’ve not been posting as much as I’d like lately, but I’ve got a very good excuse. I’ve been working on a new book with co-authors Char James-Tanny and Kit Brown.
The book is titled “Managing Virtual Teams: Getting the Most from Wikis, Blogs, and Other Collaborative Tools”. Our goal was to provide practical advice for managers of distributed teams who must design the internal systems and meet deadlines with a diverse team, and for team members who want to develop and maintain professional relationships. The publisher is offering a hefty discount for pre-publication orders – check out his site at http://www.wordware.com/wiki.
It’s nice to work with people I know and trust, and Kit and Char have been great. We agreed on almost everything, and seemed to work well together. We can also occasionally get cranky with each other and not take it personally!
Update 5/25/14: The book is still available, but WordWare is now part of Jones and Bartlett Learning.
